Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) will be offering a FREE ride for any passenger who chooses to travel “multi-modal” when they bring their bike onboard the bus for any part of their trip starting Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20, 2022 as part of recognizing National Bike to Work Week. BARTA encourages bicycling and transit together as good alternate modes of transportation
BARTA’s bus fleet has bike racks located in the front of the vehicle for customers to use. The bike racks can carry two bikes at one time. Normally, passengers who board BARTA buses with a bike must pay the regular adult fare. During National Bike to Work Week, their ride will be FREE.
May is recognized as National Bike Month. For more information about National Bike Month visit www.bikeleague.org.
